So here's last night's late-night quandry for you:

What did they call toilet-training infants before the invention of toilets?

Garderobe training?

And how did they go about doing it?

...

I don't really know why you people allow my brain to be left to its own devices.

  • I know I've seen "potties" that look like a cross between high chairs and what I used to sit on at the age of two in Greek vase paintings. I think the original goal was to keep the kid restrained and less smelly before the invention of diapers. I, however, do not know what the device was called.
